    NFL Super Bowl Wildcard Playoffs

    Rams and Seahawks:
It's been an up-and-down season for the Rams and Seahawks, but both came on strong down the stretch to nail down playoff bids. St. Louis earned its fourth postseason berth in five seasons under Mike Martz after beating the Jets in overtime in Week 17, while Seattle held off the Falcons Sunday to produce its first-ever NFC West crown. The Rams, however, won both meetings this year, including a come-from-behind win in early October that ended Seattle's 10-game home winning streak.

    Jets & Chargers
Despite winning just five of their last 11 games, the Jets earned a playoff bid for the third time in four seasons under Herman Edwards. For their efforts, they were awarded a return trip to San Diego. New York beat the Chargers 34-28 back in Week 2 when the Jets were in the midst of a 5-0 start, but San Diego QB Drew Brees suffered a concussion on that day and was ineffective. Curtis Martin, the NFL's leading rusher this year, paced the Jets with 119 yards, while LaDainian Tomlinson ran for 87 yards for San Diego.

    Broncos & Colts
For the second straight year, the Broncos defeated the Colts to clinch a postseason berth. Like last year, the reward is a trip to Indianapolis. This time around, however, the Broncos hope for a reversal of fortune after yielding five touchdown passes to Peyton Manning in a 41-10 wild-card setback. Denver dominated the Colts to qualify for the playoffs Sunday, but Manning and RB Edgerrin James, among others, played just one series for Indianapolis. "I still think we sent a message today," said Broncos safety John Lynch.

    Packers & Vikings
The Packers and Vikings have met 87 times -- but never in the postseason. That will change Sunday, when the bitter NFC North rivals face off at Lambeau Field. Green Bay owns a 44-42-1 series record after sweeping the Vikings this year, including a come-from-behind 34-31 triumph in Week 16 with the division title on the line. The Packers storm into the playoffs with momentum after beating the rival Vikings and Bears in back-to-back weeks, while Minnesota limps in with four losses in the last five games.
