Latium Tour 2005: Frankie J, Baby Bash, and Natalie Presale Password
This comes from one of our readers, Thanks Eric!
Frankie JHis song "Obsession" (No Es Amor) has been one of the biggest singles of the year. He's got a smooth and soulful voice with a hip-hop sensibility that has made him one of the most promising new artists of the year. With his new album "The One," Frankie J emerges as a serious neo-soul/pop contender; his sensuous falsetto putting him in the same general categories as Usher and Justin Timberlake. And though Frankie J's not wearing a sombrero these days, he still adds seamless Spanglish flourishes to his music.
The album's first single, "Obsession (No Es Amor)," produced by Happy Perez, is a case in point: its serpentine guitar-laced rhythm and sensual bass line, combined with Frankie's soaring vocals, communicate the mixed emotions associated with a romance that's crossing the line into dangerous territory. The song is a deft remake of a hit by the bachata group Aventura, which while packing all the wallop of the original, translates its spirit for an English-speaking audience.
Baby BashHip-hop, reggae and smooth latin style are Baby Bash's calling cards!! Don't miss this hot rising star! Baby Bash aka The Smokin' Nephew, is back. Although he didn't real go anywhere per se. Proudly hailing from the underappreciated, but talent laden Bay Area, this hip-hop and rap artiste is prepped to make more mainstream headway with the release of "Baby I'm Back" (Universal).
"Working harder than an ugly stripper man, trying to keep it in motion," says Baby Bash when asked how he's been keeping busy since 2003's "Tha Smokin' Nephew." Certified gold and creeping surely to platinum status, Bash comfortably made the transition from underground phenomenon to major label star.
NatalieNatalie's debut album drops May 17 and she's poised to take the scene by storm!! Former Houston Rockets dancer, Natalie, couldn't have choreographed a better opening number onto the pop music scene.
Her single, "Goin' Crazy," has struck a deep chord with listeners. The sultry, heartfelt ballad is currently blowing up phone lines across the country as one of the top 10 most requested songs on the radio and one of the fastest chart climbers on iTunes. Inspired by a past relationship, the Texas native penned the track in just 15 minutes
