Elizabeth Londsdrof is at the forefront of young investigators ensuring that Primatolgist Jane Goodall's research with chimpanzees continues. Since 1998 Lonsdorf has spent part of each year at Gombe, systematically studying a chimpanzee behavior discovered by Goodall: the fashioning of blades of grass for the purpose of “fishing” for termites, a favorite chimp food. Armed with a video camera, Lonsdorf represents a dynamic group of young scientists!
