July 30-31, 2005 -- The best way to celebrate summer -- a weekend-long block party featuring over 50 of the best Northwest bands and DJ's on four stages, multiple beer gardens, the Stranger Lustlab dildo ring toss, community activist, artist and food booths organized by Matthew Parker of I Heart Rummage, the new Decibel Festival Electronic Music Stage, and local politicians who are working to support the Seattle music community - The Capitol Hill Block Party is a huge, two-day explosion of bands and a great opportunity to see the most exciting new music from the best music scene in the country all while supporting great non-profit programs like The Vera Project and Home Alive.
