Mike Howard arrived at Marsh Supermarket, 1013 N. Forest Ave, Marion, at 9 a.m. Monday expecting to be first in line to buy Colts tickets, which went on sale at 10 a.m. He was, but he still didn't get the Colts-Steelers Monday Night Football tickets he wanted. An Upland resident and longtime Pittsburgh Steeler fan, Howard left the Marsh shortly after arriving because he thought Ticketmaster would hold a lottery and draw numbers to see who would purchase tickets first. He returned at 9:55 to find out that was not the case. To the surprise of all 20 fans in line at 10 a.m., Ticketmaster did not hold a lottery because there weren't enough people waiting in line. The agency holds a lottery only if there is a line an hour before the tickets go on sale. Colts tickets were instead sold on a first-come, first-served basis. When Marsh employees announced at 10:37 that only single tickets were left for all eight regular season games, Howard was kicking himself for not sticking around when he first arrived. More>>>
