SHINER, Texas – Fresh from Live 8, rock powerhouse Audioslave will energize the Great Shiner Bocktoberfest Music Junket on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005. The Shiner Bocktoberfest has become a Texas music tradition that showcases the best of Alternative, Modern Rock, Country and Americana, and provides music fanatics with an opportunity to celebrate good music, good food, and of course, good beer.

The 12th annual pilgrimage to the “little brewery” in Shiner – home to the award winning portfolio of Shiner Beers for the past 96 years – delivers a star-studded, eclectic line-up, ranging from Audioslave, Good Charlotte, and Seether, to Clint Black, SHeDaisy, Randy Rogers Band, and Darryl Lee Rush. Thousands will converge of the tiny town of Shiner (pop. 2,070) for one of Texas’ Premier Live Music events. Tickets for the 12th Annual Shiner Bocktoberfest Concert go on sale Friday, Aug. 26th online at www.shiner.com.

Hot off this summer’s global Live 8 event and having sold nearly five million albums world-wide with their 2002 self-titled debut record, Audioslave – a combination of Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell and Rage Against the Machine’s guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk – will set Bocktoberfest on fire with debut hits from their second release Out of Exile. The hard rockin’ punk quintet, Good Charlotte, will rock the stage with smash hits like “We Believe,” “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” and “Anthem.” With chart topping international success with “Broken” from their first CD Disclaimer, Seether, will captivate the audience with a live performance of songs from their newest release Karma and Effect.

Grammy winner and a self-described country boy from the outskirts of Houston, Clint Black will perform hits such as “Summer’s Comin,” “We Tell Ourselves” and “Something That We Do.” The Randy Rogers Band will flip the lid off of Shiner, Texas and have the crowd dancing to a rich, sonic brew of hits from the band’s third independent release – RollerCoaster. The trademark vocals of SHeDaisy sisters – Kassidy, Kelsi and Kristyn Osborn will have fans singing along to “Little Good-Byes,” and “This Woman Needs.” Shiner Records recording artist, Darryl Lee Rush will entertain concert-goers with hits such as a “Town Too Tough to Die” and “White Trash Paradise.” Rush’s music and storytelling will have the crowd chanting for more.

Tickets for the legendary Shiner Bocktoberfest Concert are $40 plus service charge and will be available online at www.shiner.com beginning Friday, August 26th. With the explosive music line-up featured this year, the Shiner Bocktoberfest Concert is expected to be a sold-out show. If available, tickets will be sold at the gate on the day of the show for $45 plus service charge. As in years past, PARKING IS FREE. Children six and under, accompanied by an adult, are free.
