EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State Athletics Department officials report that football season-ticket sales have exceeded 56,000 for the seventh-straight year.
As of Aug. 10, 58,270 football season tickets have been sold, an increase of 1,738 season tickets from the 2004 season. That figure also reflects an increase in the demand for student season tickets. Approximately 11,000 student season tickets have been sold, up 448 from last year. The MSU Athletics Department traditionally allocates 10,500 football season tickets for students.
Spartan fans purchased an all-time record 61,479 football season tickets in 2000.
Michigan State has played before a sellout crowd in 47 of its last 52 home games, including the last 39 in a row. The Spartans have ranked among the NCAA's top 20 in attendance each of the last 49 years, including No. 20 in 2004, averaging 73,602 fans per game. More>>>
