NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - It wasn't so much anger as commerce that was managed at this year's installment of the Anger Management Tour, which landed Monday night at New York's Madison Square Garden for a two-night run.
Starring Eminem and 50 Cent, the two current titans of rap, with an opening set by Lil' Jon & the Eastside Boyz, the show resembled nothing so much as a hip-hop-themed evening on QVC.

The only signs of the show's controversial aspects were tighter-than-usual security at the Garden and the heavy police presence in the surrounding area.
They needn't have bothered. The show was without incident, and whatever anger was on display was far more jovial than threatening. Lil' Jon and his crew started the evening off with an energetic but otherwise unremarkable set of their crunk jams performed to a half-empty house, since many patrons were still enduring their pat-downs.
