JAMARAMA LIVE! KIDSFEST is a dynamic traveling live music show that is designed to entertain children ages 2 and up as well as their entire families. It is an annual event that will tour nationally throughout the U.S. in three separate cycles during the year. Each show will offer several hours of live musical performances as well as exciting interactive attractions.
JAMARAMA LIVE! KIDSFEST is a unique event that incorporates brands and characters of all kinds under one roof.
These are reserved-seating venues (not open-floor seating), and tickets are required for all attendees, regardless of age. Stroller parking is available.
Dan Zanes and Friends (selected shows)
Dan Zanes, the former lead singer and songwriter for the legendary rock and roll band The Del Fuegos, and his band perform exuberant, handmade music for enthusiastic crowds of kids and kid sympathizers. During the first part of every performance the audience is invited to "sing along with gusto" before things heat up and ultimately dissolve into an all-ages dance party. Dan sings and plays mandolin, banjo, harmonica, autoharp and electric guitar. Note: Dan Zanes may not necessarily appear in all shows; please confirm with local venues or promoters for complete artist lineups.
Milkshake
What kind of children's musicians list influences ranging from Rodgers & Hammerstein to the White Stripes? Milkshake! Headed by vocalist Lisa Mathews and guitarist Mikel Gehl, the band evolved from its beginnings in the 80's as the new wave band Beyond Words, through the melodic adult rock of the Baltimore-based Love Riot in the 90's, to the natural evolution, after becoming parents, of making great rock music for kids. Their two CDs, "Happy Songs" and "Bottle of Sunshine" have won multiple awards. Appearing on NOGGIN's new "Jack's Big Music Show," Milkshake's videos are refreshing and joyful.
Moose A. Moose & Zee
Moose A. Moose is NOGGIN's mascot and on-air "teacher" to the audience, leading viewers from one activity to the next. Zee, the bird, is Moose's trusty sidekick. Both Moose A. Moose and Zee will be on hand for photos and hugs!
The Ohmies (some select dates)
Get ready to sing, dance, stretch, and laugh with THE OHMIES! The Ohmies playfully introduce children to world music, movement, and creative problem solving. Honored as "Best of the Season" (Children's Theater) by The New York Times, The Ohmies is an educational, interactive show in which each colorful character represents a basic Yoga pose, like butterfly or downward facing dog. With hip, eclectic music, The Ohmies motivate children to center their minds and strengthen their bodies.
Buck Howdy (April 1, 2, 8 and 9 only)
Buck Howdy, the King of Kids' Cowboy Music, is the nexus of Roy Rogers, Will Rogers and Mr. Rogers. He sings authentic cowboy music with kid-friendly lyrics, delivered with a toothy grin and a mischievous wink. And whether he's crooning a tender ballad, singing one of his knee-slappingly funny original tunes, or leading the crowd in a rollicking "Hokey Pokey", everything he does is as tasty as a campfire S'more. He's performed multiple times at the White House and at the Grand Ole Opry as well as at schools and performing arts centers across America. Howdy also hosts his own nationally syndicated radio program, Cow Pie Radio, which is heard on XM Kids and several dozen local stations from coast to coast.
Miffy
Miffy is a smart little bunny who sees the world through the eyes of a four-year-old. Based on the award-winning book series by Dick Bruna, "Miffy and Friends" appears every day on NOGGIN. During the Jamarama Live storytelling, Miffy and a special friend will dazzle all!
