Tim McGraw is back on top

    CMT NEWS
McGraw's "Back When" Hits No. 1
Shelton's "Some Beach" Climbs to No. 2
    By: Craig Shelburne

He may not be down with hoes, coke and screws -- as he sings in "Back When" -- but Tim McGraw does know one thing for sure: the song has reached No. 1 on Billboard's country singles chart. It's the follow-up to the Grammy-nominated "Live Like You Were Dying," from the album of the same name.

There is no time for nostalgia, however, as Blake Shelton's "Some Beach" rises two spots to No. 2. Gary Allan's "Nothing On but the Radio" drops two spots to No. 3, followed by Kenny Chesney's "The Woman With You" at No. 4. Darryl Worley's "Awful Beautiful Life" and Dierks Bentley's "How Am I Doin'," continue to gain momentum at No. 5 and 6, respectively. Lonestar's "Mr. Mom" falls to No. 7. Shania Twain and Billy Currington's "Party for Two," Alan Jackson's "Monday Morning Church" and LeAnn Rimes' "Nothin' 'Bout Love Makes Sense" keep steady at No. 8, 9 and 10, respectively.Trace Adkins earns the week's highest debut with "Songs About Me," at No. 53, one notch ahead of Blue County's new "Nothin' but Cowboy Boots." Cledus T. Judd arrives with "Bake Me a Country Ham" at No. 58, trailed by Deryl Dodd's "Let Me Be" at No. 59 and Victor Sanz's "Tell Me What You Wanna Do" at No. 60.The top five country albums remain the same this week: Twain's Greatest Hits, Toby Keith's Greatest Hits 2, McGraw's Live Like You Were Dying, George Strait's 50 Number Ones and Gretchen Wilson's Here for the Party. Rascal Flatts' Feels Like Today moves to No. 6, swapping places with Alison Krauss & Union Station's Lonely Runs Both Ways, at No. 7. The latest albums from Big & Rich, Chesney and Brad Paisley round out the Top 10.Two new Christmas titles enter the chart this week. Clint Black's Christmas With You, a reissue of his 1995 album with two new tracks, bows at No. 70. Kenny Rogers' Christmas With Kenny lands at No. 74.
