Tickets for Oct. 2 Chef's Night Out on sale Monday
Event, which sells out every year, benefits Marion-Polk Food Share
For seven years, Chefs' Nite Out has indulged the gnawing needs of food lovers while helping feed thousands of hungry residents from Marion and Polk counties.
The annual mutual-satisfaction event, which last year raised $50,000 to benefit 57 local member charities, always has sold out.
With just 750 available tickets, which go on sale Monday, organizers expect this year will be no exception. The fine food and fun will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 2 at Willamette Valley Vineyards.
"People are always urging us to sell more tickets, but we don't want to change our great venue," said Diana Miller, a spokeswoman for the Marion-Polk Food Share.
The nonprofit charity provides the bulk of the emergency food supply to the hungry throughout the area and serves nearly 70,000 people annually. More>>>
