Pepsi Arena drops Ticketmaster
SARATOGA SPRINGS -- Saratogians interested in attending events at the Pepsi Arena will have a new resource for getting their tickets to the Albany venue in the near future.
At the end of this month, the 15-year relationship between the Pepsi Arena and Ticketmaster will end, and a new one, with Costa Mesa, Calif.-based company Tickets.com, will begin.
In addition to tickets being made available at the venue box office, by phone and online, a new deal will include them being sold at 20 Capital Region Price Chopper stores.
'Certainly the bulk of tickets will be sold online, but we will be able to accommodate people at our stores,' said Price Chopper spokeswoman Mona Golub. 'We will be more accessible to consumers than had previously been the case,'
The tickets will be sold at the supermarket's guest service counters, which are open approximately 12 hours a day.
The new arrangement will begin the end of October, although there hasn't been a specific date set yet, Golub said.
As of Friday, the Pepsi Arena Web site was still referring patrons to Ticketmaster. More>>>
