STORRS, Conn. (August 7, 2005) - Single-game tickets for 2005 University of Connecticut home football games at Rentschler Field will go on sale on Monday, August 8, 2005 at 10:00 a.m.

Tickets are priced at $25 per game and those on sale will be in the reserved sections. Tickets will be available for all six home games - Thursday, Sept. 1 vs. Buffalo; Saturday, Sept. 10 vs. Liberty; Friday, Oct. 7 vs. Syracuse; Saturday, Oct. 22 vs. Rutgers; Saturday, Nov. 26 vs. South Florida; and Saturday, Dec. 3 vs. Louisville. The Cardinals are ranked 14th in the preseason coaches’ poll.

Tickets may be purchased at any TicketMaster outlet, online at TicketMaster.com or by calling TicketMaster at 860-525-4500 or 203-624-0033. Single-game tickets will also be available at the UConn Athletic Ticket Office in Storrs.

Season tickets for the 2005 football season continue to be on sale and will be on sale after the single-game sale begins. Season tickets can be purchased at the UConn Athletic Ticket Office in Storrs or by calling 1-877-AT-UCONN.

UConn’s 2005 football season ticket total is now more than 29,000, which is a new single-season high. UConn has sold out eight of its 13 games at its 40,000-seat East Hartford home. Overall, the Huskies have played to an average of 38,268 fans per game at Rentschler Field, a sum that represents 96-percent of the facility’s capacity. More>>>
